hello everyone,
Not much has changed. Going on week 6, and my hair is still doing its own thing. lol
Since I have been using the Seabreeze, my scalp isn't itching as much. I will be washing my hair next Saturday before I attend a friend's wedding.... Can't wait until I get more length to my hair so I can pin it up and do something different. Talk to you later.

Sisterly Love?

Hey everyone,

I'm just leaving my mom's house. We had our family reunion committee meeting. I enjoyed myself for the most part.. My sister came up from Cocoa Beach, this is first time I have seen her since I got my sisterlocks. Needless to say she did not like them. "What's wrong with your hair? Is it suppose to look like that?" I replied, "Nothing is wrong with my hair. The part that you are looking at is the relaxed hair that I haven't cut off." She replied "It looks like you just unbraided your hair." I then explained to her the process that I am going through. I will not post what she said. Feelings deeply hurt. :(

1st retightening -- May 22,2010

Hey everyone, I had my 1st retightening yesterday. It took 2 hrs 36 min., not bad. My consultant was very pleased with the way my sisterlocks are forming, so am I!!!! I will go back for retighten is 5 weeks. I may go back in 2-3 weeks for a deep conditioning and coloring. My hair color is brown (#4 for those who have used weave or extentions) but I am going to have burgandy/mahogany highlights. ...

I would like your opinion, if I should cut off the relaxer at the ends of my hair or should I wait a little while longer (until I get my hair gets some length to it)?

1st retightening

hey, tomorrow I go for my first retighten. I'm kind of excited because I have slippage around my front hair line. I'm hoping that it doesn't take more than 2 1/2 hours. I will take pictures and post them. Good night.

Shrinking and coiling

Hey everyone, I just can't seem to keep my hands out of my hair!! Loving it! My hair is shrinking and coiling at the roots. My hair is "DOING IT OWN THING" and I am loving it......
Saturday I go for my first re-tighten session. I have alot of slippage around the edges. I believed more slipped when I washed my hair last week.

Here is a picture of the products that I am currently using. The first bottle is the Sisterlocks starter kit shampoo. Next is Natural Wonders Fresh Hair for dry scalp and dandruff (ingredients: Distilled water, Pure essential oil blends: Rosemary, Laverder, Peppermint, Ylang Ylang, and Tea tree). The last bottle is Seabreeze, I use it after exercise (walking), to keep my scalp clean.

My first shampoo

Today is my first shampoo!! I am using the shampoo that came with my starter kit. I put my hair in bundles with the help of my daughter. I'm not quite sure if this is how I am suppose to bundle my hair. I would love comments and suggestions.

Slippage day 4

This slippage is really getting to me!! I understand that this is part of the process for many of us, but I still don't like it. I have put the hair clips in so hopefully it will stop or slow down the slippage. Here are a couple of pictures to show the slippage.

Hello everyone,
Yesterday I went to see my consultant to get the starter kit for my sisterlocks. I have slippage around my hair line. So to keep it from slipping any further, she told me to use hairclips. I will post pictures to show the slippage. I am trying not to panic. lol. But all in all, she said that they are looking good.
